EVENT OVERVIEW

HudHack is a 10-hour intensive hackathon organised by the University of Huddersfield Cyber Security Society. The event brings together students to compete in two parallel tracks: a Product Build challenge and a Capture The Flag (CTF) security arena. Open to all skill levels, HudHack provides a collaborative environment for developers, ethical hackers, and creatives to innovate, problem-solve, and secure the top prizes.

Do I need cyber security experience?
No. The event is open to all backgrounds. We have beginner-friendly challenges and mentors on standby.
Can I start coding beforehand?
No. All project code must be created during the event timeframe. Brainstorming and wireframing beforehand is permitted.
Who owns the Intellectual Property?
You do. The society claims no ownership over the tools or products you build.
How do teams work?
Teams of 1 to 4 people. You can form a squad beforehand or find teammates in our Discord or at the start of the event.
Is food provided?
Yes. Food and refreshments will be provided for all attendees. Specific details on the menu and timing will be confirmed closer to the date. We will accommodate dietary requirements where possible.
